Regarding 314 West 22nd Street. A puzzling plaque. Clement Clarke Moore didn’t live here, so the only connection to him seems to be that this building was built on property that was originally part of his estate “Chelsea”.
Every real estate site give a construction date of 1900. This may go back to the 1939-41 Tax Photos, where that was given as the estimated year of construction.
