1. Base Chapel Marker
Inscription. A community, such as the one created by the military in Wendover, wouldnot have been complete without a base chapel for the spiritual guidance of men and women assigned to the base. Chaplains were needed to assist in the mental and moral struggles of those on the base, many were away from their families for the first time and the base was extremely remote from any oter community where other spiritual services could be found.
