Inscription.
His love of the circus came from his parents, both of whom were circus people. He began his career selling peanuts, popcorn and cotton candy under the big top and rose to become one of the youngest showmen ever to own a large show, Allan C. Hill’s Great American Circus. Renowned for his generous support of civic activities, he was one of the founders of Sarasota’s Annual Circus Festival and Parade for which he brought together the circus community and general public in a common effort to preserve the area’s circus heritage.
