Circus Ring Of Fame
Trained from age 13 at Karl Hagenbeck’s renowned Stellingen Zoo, Albert Rix became one of the World’s foremost authorities on the breeding, care and training of bears. He was featured for many years on Ringling Bros., beginning in 1950 when he came to the U.S. to present a Hagenbeck mixed bear act. Also served as the shows Menagerie Superintendent until leaving to appear in other show’s and to establish Albert Rix Park, a highly regarded facility for the breeding and training of bears.
