Inscription.
He is remembered as the clown who in grotesque costume and makeup, paraded around the circus tent with a small trained pig. Their antics were classic examples of so-called clown gags. Adler became so popular that he was called “King of the Clowns”. He and his piglets were featured for many years with “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
