Inscription.

In the Post-World War II era he was one of the world’s preeminent animal trainers. For 19 years Ringling audiences were awed by the beauty of his superb Royal Bengal Tiger Act which included one of the most difficult of all circus feats in which five tigers do a simultaneous rollover. A versatile showman, for 12 of his performing years he served concurrently as the show’s performance director and went on eight more years in the same capacity for both the red and blue units.
