Regarding First Foundry. Edgar A. Keeler erected a foundry on the Boardman brook, near the tannery, in 1861, and operated it until 1865, when he sold to P. L. Lyman and Samuel M. Moore, but came into ownership again five years later. During the Lyman-Moore control they added and ran a carding mill. The building was destroyed by fire in 1871.
