Inscription.

A Ringling Bros. superstar of the 1920s, he was undisputed “King of the Flying Trapeze.” At a time when few had attempted it and even fewer had succeeded, he made the difficult triple back somersault a highlight of every performance, his flawless style and grace creating an illusion of flight that has never been equaled. Ironically, he suffered a career-ending injury performing the very maneuver with which he had gained his stardom.
