"Mountainside Free Library, serving an area of 200 residents, has a collection of 11,500 books and periodicals.
Staffing consists solely of volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $2,700. Patrons make 3,000 visits annually, and check out materials 4,600 times. Twenty-five percent of all check-outs are children's materials."
