Regarding Barboro Grocery. The company later changed its focus to wholesale distribution of alcoholic beverages. In 2009 the company, then known as A.S. Barboro Distributing Co., joined with Nashville-based DET Distributing Co. to form BarDett Distributing. Ajax Distributing Co., a wholesaler based in Clarksville, Tennessee, acquired BarDett in March 2019.
