1. Wheeler's Raid Around Rosecrans Marker

Inscription. After destroying a sizeable wagon train at Rock Springs, about six miles northeast, Wheeler's Confederate raiders late in the afternoon here captured about 200 prisoners, destroyed a wagon train and took with them a number of ambulances. They then moved southwestward, to bivouac about two miles north of Arrington.
