1. Fifth Street Baptist Church Marker
Inscription. The Fifth Street Baptist Church was organized as Zoar Baptist Church, two miles west of Hannibal on November 25, 1837. The Church was renamed United Baptist Church in 1841, then relocated to the north corner of Church Street and Fourth Street in 1845 and was renamed First Baptist Church. The present building was built at a cost of $26,000 and was dedicated on December 17, 1893. The church name was changed to The Fifth Street Baptist Church.
