Frederick Hobdy was the winningest coach in Louisiana collegiate basketball history with 572 victories between 1957 and 1986. His teams won 7 Southwestern Athletic Conference titles and the National Athletic Intercollegiate Association championship in 1961 - the last men's national title from this state.
