1. La Grange Pesant / Pesant Barn Marker
En 1887, le sénateur Owens achète une bonne partie de la Seigneurie dont avait hérité la famille Bourassa lors du décès du seigneur Papineau. Owens, élu à trois reprises comme député conservateur du comté d'Argenteuil, voulait établir une ferme modèle à Montebello.
Cette grange, construite en 1907, fait partie du paysage de Montebello. Sa structure bien particulière permet d'avoir une très grande aire de rangement sans la présence de poteaux ou de structures internes qui puissent gêner les mouvements. Différentes sections permettent d'engranger aussi bien le foin, les fourrages, les céréales que d'abriter les animaux.
En 1917, Joseph Pesant achète la ferme de cinq cents acres de la famille Owens et l'exploite jusqu'en 1953 où il la cède en la divisant à ses deux fils Rolland et Rosario. Cette ferme est toujours la propriété d'un membre de la famille Pesant.

This barn, built in 1907, plays a part in the Montebello landscape. It has a particular structure that it permitted large storage space without poles or internal structures that can hinder movement. Different sections allow for storage of hay, fodder and cereals and of course shelter for the animals.
In 1917, Joseph Pesant bought the 500 acre farm from the Owens family and used it until 1953 when he split it between his two sons Rolland and Rosario. The farm still belongs to a member of the Pesant Family.
