1903 June 18 Mother M. Augustine signed contract with J.A. Petty to build St. Bernard School at cost of $13,000
1905 May 4 building completed and opened as a day & boarding for students-to eight grades
1926 High school added
1949 First metal build in Breaux Bridge collapsed
1959 Current school, located left of old school completed, Gym added after old school demolition
1971 Sister of Mary Holy Sacrament withdrew from teaching and school closed
1982 August school was reopened as an elementary school under direction of Msgr. Edward Fruge, Rene Calais, principle, and a group of dedicated parishioners.
