1. Cardwellton Marker
Inscription. Located on in-lot 86, this house of timberframe construction with brick nogging has a log nucleus which may be as early as 1786. Home to the Chenoweth, Slavens and Cardwell families, it was purchased circa 1863 by John and Sophia Taylor Cardwell and remains in that family. Contains woodwork by Matthew P. Lowery.
