Inscription. This 1955 B&O Railroad Caboose was donated to the Town of Oakland by the B&O Railroad Museum, Baltimore, Md. In 2013/2014 it was fully restored, inside and out, by Alexander Jacob Savopoulos, a member of Boy Scout Troop #22, as his Eagle Scout project. "A.J." worked diligently on the project for many months, with advice from various sources, including the B&O Railroad Museum, and with the occasional assistance from his companions and interested adults. Lead paint remediation services were provided, free of charge, by NCM Corporation, Baltimore, MD. The Oakland B&O Museum is grateful to A.J. Savopoulos for his excellent contribution to the preservation of our B&O railroad heritage. "A.J." received his Eagle Scout award on March 28, 2015.
