Inscription. On this site in 1916, Bradley Central High School began meeting the educational needs of this community. Adopting its name from the county, which in turn was named in honor of Col. Edward Bradley, a veteran of both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, the school conducted classes on the Ocoee site until 1972. Although the original structure was eventually replaced, its rich heritage provided a figurative cornerstone for the school complex later erected on South Lee Highway.
