1. Old Sebastian County Jail. Wikipedia entry:
The Old Sebastian County Jail is a two-story stone building built 1889-91 by Ike Kunkel, a local master mason, and is one of the city's finest examples of cut stone masonry. It was used primarily as a holding jail for detainees awaiting transport to facilities in Fort Smith. (Submitted on September 28, 2020, by Cosmos Mariner of Cape Canaveral, Florida.)

2. Old Jail Museum. City of Greenwood Website entry:
The stone for the building was quarried southwest of Greenwood on Backbone Mountain. Holes were drilled in the stone on the mountain and left over the winter. As water filled the holes and froze, the pressure of the ice split the stone into manageable size. The stone was then transported to the building site by horse and wagon. Isaac Kunkel, stone mason, his son, Henry Oliver Kunkel, and his son-in-law, George Williamson shaped the stone into building blocks and erected a four cell two story jail.
