This twelve foot tall horse pays tribute to Charles Corland Dent (1917 - 1994) in memory of his abundant spirit, and his unique ability to draw others into the magic of his dreams He conceived the idea to create a horse based on the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci from the late fifteenth century. A twenty-four-foot horse was completed and dedicated on September 10, 1999 in Milan, Italy. An eight-foot horse was given to the Town of Vinci, Italy in September, 2001. These horses are a gift to the people of Italy and a tribute to Leonardo Da Vinci and the Renaissance. Charles C. Dent, pilot, artist, dreamer, and former student of the Baum School of Art died without seeing his work completed. His life demonstrates that anyone can do extraordinary things on a world stage in life and even after death.
