1. Old Bulletin Building Marker
Inscription. The Bend Bulletin occupied several buildings over the years, but this building is perhaps the most historically significant since The Bend Bulletin operated from this site from 1940 to 1966. On May 15, 1963, the newspaper changed it's name.
The photograph above was taken in 1910 and pictures the earliest pioneers of The Bend Bulletin, including George Palmer Putnam, second from left. Putnam was a dynamic young Easterner and a scion of the Putnam book publishing family.
