Historic Courthouse Bell
Forged in Maryland by J. Regester & Sons, this bell was placed in a cupola atop the old section of the Sullivan County courthouse circa 1870, and hung there nigh 100 years.
This historic bell was mounted here on the courthouse lawn by the Sullivan County Board of Commissioners on October 15, 1979 to salute Sullivan County's 200th birthday and to
all the land unto all inhabitants
thereoff.”
