The Palace. . The original structure on this site was owned by the Aitken family and called the Sisters Drug Store. It also housed the town post office. The upstairs was used by the Forest Service to store records. It was destroyed by the fire of 1923. Shortly there after, an already existing structure was moved to this location by the Aitkens. The first floor of the new building accommodated a drug store, post office, soda fountain and, for a time, the town library. The upstairs rooms were used for storage and living quarters.
