1. Welcome To The Knitting Mills Marker
Inscription. Founded by Ferdinand Thun and Henry Janssen in 1906, the Berkshire Knitting Mills served as a hub of technological innovation and civic pride. Together with Textile Machine Works and Narrow Fabric Company, this multi-faceted manufacturing enterprise was known collectively as Wyomissing Industries. It was here where industry and community came together as one through marvels of engineering and a a shared passion for making the finest products of its kind.
