Inscription. Reading Phillies First Baseman in 2004, hit .297/.386/.647 with 37 HR, 102 RBI, and 73 R in 102 games. Won the Eastern League MVP, Paul Owens award and USA Today's Minor League Player of the Year in '04. Would go on to win the '05 NL Rookie of the Year, the '06 NL MVP and was instrumental in helping the Phillies win the '08 World Series.
