Inscription.
Nos. 1-2-3 & 7 Rail Alignment Tools Used to move rails side to side for proper alignment prior to being spiked down.
No. 4 Crow Bar Used to pull spikes.
No. 5 Spike Driver Used to drive spike into the rail ties.
No. 6 Railroad Pick Used to remove gravel when replacing ties and other grubbing jobs.
No. 8 Aligning Tool Used to align junction switches.
No. 9 Welding Tool Used to hold things that must be welded.
No. 10 Tie Tong Used for lifting ties (attached to hoist).
No. 11 Date Nail Hammer Used to put date tags on poles or ties.
No. 12 Spike Puller Used to pull spikes when No. 4 will not fit.
No. 13 Rail Carrier Used to carry rails (2 men per tool).
No. 14 Tie Tong Used to carry ties (manually operated).
No. 15 Switch Bolt Used instead of spikes in switching areas.
No. 16 Rails Spikes Used to attach rails to ties.
Tool on Outside of Box Rail Lifter Used to raise rails so ties could be replaced.
On the other side Extra wood rail tie (to replace old ties).
