Executive Councilor Raymond S. Burton
Friends, colleagues, and admirers of executive councilor Raymond s. Burton gathered here on November 1, 2013, against a backdrop of the famed Mount Washington Hotel, the path of the famous cog railway and the majestic presidential range, to dedicate this scenic overlook in recognition of Ray's more than 40 years of dedicated public service to his beloved north country and the people of New Hampshire.
Like the rugged and steadfast peaks before you, Ray has
always stood strong, making sure the citizens of
district one could rely on an unwavering voice in
our state capitol. This panoramic overlook was a
private/public initiative linking the owner of the
Mount Washington Hotel, CNL Lifestyle Properties, Inc,
which donated the land, and the state of New Hampshire
which devoted funding from the National Scenic Byway
program enjoy the magnificent view and your time
in the granite state.
