Inscription.

In honor of a very special group of young men
who served their country so faithfully while
enduring incredible hardships and dangers in
New Guinea, the Philippines and Okinawa.
Some lived and some died - all of them gave
their best. They exemplified the very finest
in American military tradition - may they be
remembered forever.
