More about this marker. The two-story Dutch colonial revival house was built in the late 1800s at Hollywood Blvd and Canyon Drive in Hollywood. It was home to Mary Taft, an early 1900s philanthropist and Los Angeles socialite. In 1942 the house was moved to make way for construction of the Hollywood Freeway.
