Deployed January 1942, the first air force to leave the
U.S. at the start of WWII, engaged in campaigns spanning
the Pacific as the leading group in the Pacific Theatre,
continuing in 12 more campaigns from Korea 1950, to
Vietnam 1972, creating a history of over 52 years of
outstanding excellence for the United States Air Force.
