601 (3.32.1.07.116) Dwelling, 230 Market Street, late 19th century. This is a two and one half story, frame, T plan, gable roofed. Queen Anne house with a moulded cornice and partial returns. There is a center ridge, stuccoed, corbel capped, brick chimney; on the rear, two story, gable roofed wing there is an interior gable end, stuccoed brick chimney. The windows are two over two, double hung sash except in the three part bay in the chamfered front wing of the house; these windows are one over one, double hung sash. The chamfered wing has decorative brackets. At the entrance there is a paneled door with fanlight above. Across the front is a flat roofed porch with decorative metal supports. There is a two story addition on both sides of the house which is covered with simulated wood metal shingles and has an asphalt shingled roof and a stuccoed brick foundation.(Submitted on April 24, 2025, by Pete Skillman of Townsend, Delaware.)
