1. Patrick Henry Marker
Inscription.  Henry was a living symbol of America's struggle for liberty and self-government from British rule. His immortal appeal was, "I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death." He was the first Virginia governor under its new constitution, serving three terms.
 
Erected 1999 by City of Virginia Beach.
