1. The Eagle Hotel - circa 1905 Marker
Inscription. The Eagle Hotel was built by Austrian immigrant Matthias Thomas, who raised his five children in a second-floor apartment of the hotel. The hotel was reportedly used as an auxiliary hospital during the flu epidemic of 1918.
Local entrepreneur Michael Schaer renovated the Victorian Italianate style structure in the 1990's.
