To our brave and honored airmen who made the supreme
sacrifice so that this nation would remain free
1942 • 1945

Activated 3 Feb. 1942, Geiger Field, Washington.
Deployed to England August, 1942.
Air strikes in European, African, and Middle East Theaters
with 8th (England), 12th (North Africa), 15th (Italy) USAAF's.
B-17-F "Flying Fortress"
Launched over 450 combat missions.

Two Distinguished Unit Citations.

Dedicated 5 Sept. 1986
