1. The Use of Universalist Unitarian on the marker
While the congregation currently stylizes its name as Unitarian Universalist, the use of Universalist Unitarian on this sign is likely intentional. At the time of the merger of the two denominations in 1961, historically Universalist congregations often transposed the words to emphasize their heritage.
