401st Bombardment Group (H)

The gallant men of the 401st flew 254 combat missions over Germany and Occupied Europe in sturdy B-17 aircraft. The group was awarded two Distinguished Unit Citations and had the best bombing accuracy record and second lowest loss rate among B-17 Groups in the 8th Air Force.
