Inscription.
On Sept. 11, 2001,
343 brave NYC Firefighters lost their lives in the attacks at the World Trade Center. Of them, 17 were United States Marines. This memorial serves to represent their sacrifices that fateful day.
May they never be forgotten!

The Steel displayed here is exactly the way it was recovered from the World Trade Center site in the weeks and months of rescue and recovery following the attacks.
