Dedicated to the Co H Marines and Corpsmen who served in the Vietnam War and in memory of those who gave their precious lives.
In April 1966, H/2/5 deployed to the Republic of Vietnam from Okinawa where it had recently conducted an amphibious exercise, prior to that it was at Camp Margarita at Camp Pendleton, California. During five years it engaged in battles within the I Corps provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien, and Quang Nam. Its combat operations included the Tet 1968 Battle of Hue City, Charlie Ridge, Que Son, Phu Bai, Dong Ha, Phu Loc, Arizona Territory, Dodge City, Dai Loc, Liberty Bridge, Go Noi Island, Nong Son, Happy Valley, Antenna Valley, and Area 112. Co H fought in twelve major counter-offensives and numerous actions from its An Hoa and Hill 65 firebases.
