1. Century Building Marker
Inscription. Constructed in 1906, this is the 4th and present home of the Neptune Hose Co No.1. Formerly the Neptune Hook & Ladder Co. Founded in 1866 by Dr. James O. Green, following the burning of the Bath Hotel, it was the first organized fire company in Monmouth County.
