1. Temple of the Santa Veracruz Marker
The marker is made up of numerous tiles attached to the southern elevation of the temple.
Inscription.  

Filii ejus beatissimam praedica verunt
Templo de la Santa Veracruz
1884 1984
El 3 de Agosto del año del Señor de 1884, por decreto del Arzobispo de México Sr. Dr. Don Blagio Antonio de la Bastida y Dávalos, se hizo entrega de este Templo de la Santa Veracruz a los RR.PP. Misioneros Hijos del Inmaculado Corazón de María, fundados por San Antonio María Claret.

El 16 de Julio de 1849. Fungía como Párroco de Toluca el, por muchos títulos, recordado Fray Buenaventura Merlín; y como Capellán del Templo El Pbro. Manuel Escudero quien, en nombre del Señor Arzobispo, entregó las llaves del Templo al M.R.P. Domingo Solá y Vives. C.M.T. Antes de un año, el 4 de Abril de 1885, el P. Domingo Solá, en los anexos del Templo de la Santa Veracruz fundó el Colegio Hispano-Mexicano donde se formaron tantas Generaciones de Toluqueños. Impartio Cultura este Centro de Enseñanza de 1885 a 1914. Toluca de San José, en el Primer Centenario. 1884-1984.

August 3 of the Year of the Lord of 1884, by decree of the Archbishop of Mexico Dr. Blagio Antonio de la Bastida y Dávalos, this Temple of the Santa Veracruz was given to the RR.PP. Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, founded by Saint Antonio María Claret.

July 16, 1849. As Pastor of Toluca, and by many other titles, is remembered Friar Buenaventura Merlín; and as Chaplain of the Temple, the Presbyter Manuel Escudero, who, on behalf of the Lord Archbishop, handed over the keys of the Temple to M.R.P. Domingo Solá y Vives, C.M.F. Before a year had passed, on April 4, 1885, Friar Domingo Solá, in the annexes of the Temple of Santa Veracruz founded the Hispano-Mexican College where so many generations of Toluca were formed. This teaching center imparted culture from 1885 to 1914. Toluca de San José, in its First Century. 1884-1984.
