1. St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Marker

Inscription. In 1869 German settlers, led by the Reverend Frederick Schmid, organized the first Lutheran congregation in Northfield Township. The original church on the site was dedicated in 1874. On March 13, 1932, the church and parsonage were destroyed by fire. The present church and parsonage were dedicated that year.

Erected by Washtenaw County Historic District Commission.
