The Lucas County Courthouse
On January 1. 1897, this building was first opened to the proud citizens of Lucas County Currently. The Lucas County Courthouse contains the courtrooms of ten Common Pleas General Division Judges. as well as offices of the Prosecutor, Clerk of Courts, Probate Judge Law Library and their staff. The Courthouse remains today the center of legal and Judicial activity in Lucas County just as it did 100 years ago.

commemorates the 100th anniversary of the
laying of the original cornerstone for the
Courthouse. On September 3. 1894. We hope
our descendants, on September 3. 2094, will
unearth and enjoy the historic remembrances
of life in 1994 which we have prepared for them.
