1. Blue Mountain College Marker
Inscription. Founded by Gen. M.P. Lowrey in 1873. Named for hill ½ mi. N.W. of this spot. In 1918 Lowrey and Berry families gave college properties to state Baptist Convention.
 
Erected 1950 by Mississippi Historical Commission.
