1. Guaranty Building Marker

Inscription. This Beaux Arts office building was where famous entertainment columnist Hedda Hopper hung her hat. Built in 1923, it was one of several “palaces” of commerce along the Boulevard and was the second building on the Boulevard to meet the height-limit for the City. Charlie Chaplin and Cecil B. DeMille were investors in the building. The architects were John C. Austin and Frederick M. Ashley.
