In 1903 Pedro Pons, Felipe and Jesús Carmona, William John Wilson, Valentín Bertrand W.E. Smith, Francisco Rangel and Marcelo Loyzaga, formed the Chamber of Commerce of El Oro de Hidalgo, to deal with issues related to business and trade.
