frame dwellings - one dating from the 1870's, and the other from the 1840's. The later of the two is a two-and-a-half-story, frame, hip roof, double-pile, side-hall-plan dwelling (N-3928.30) with a later-19th century, two-story storefront addition. The original block is finished with a hip roof, full-length front porch supported by turned posts and with paired Italianate cornice brackets spaced between the half story windows. The wing also retains a full-length front porch and presently serves as the village post office. Some of the early counter and shelving elements were saved when the store was remodeled and installed in the Port Penn Museum, now occupying the old schoolhouse. The house and store are listed in 1893 as part ofthe W. H. Miller estate.
