A Legacy of Preserving Fish. . Wentworth Place was well known as a street of commerce where hawkers would come to sell preserved fish and seafood, earning it the moniker 'Salty Fish Alley'. As homage to this legacy, students from the Mandarin Institute have offered their own approach to fish preservation by creating a mural representing 36 species from the California Fish and Game Endangered Species List.
