1. First Christian Church Marker
Inscription. This church was built in 1900 by contributions from the members of the congregation. The Reverend Mr. James F. Stewart chaired the committee of church members who supervised the building of the church, and raising the funds necessary for construction. Members gave tirelessly of their work and time. This is the only church of wood construction from the Victorian era remaining in Santa Paula.
 
Erected 1982 by Ventura County. (Marker Number 81.)

Regarding First Christian Church. Ventura County Historical Landmark statement of significance:
The most striking feature of this Carpenter Gothic style building is the square bell tower with high pitched pyramidal roof, and brackets featuring cutout floral motifs in the open belfry. The church has remained unaltered since its construction.
