1. Oak Grove Marker
Inscription. One of five one room schools of Upper Oxford Township. A student, PFC. Jesse L. Thomas, a WWII Marine, planted the U.S. flag on Okinawa in 1945. Oak Grove educated three generations of the Bertha Cochran Gray family since 1893. Ethel Hilton Gray, a student 1917-1925, returned as teacher 1948-1954.
 
Erected 2016 by the Gray family.
