1. Walter Zeiders Marker
Inscription.  Walter Zeiders came from Pennsylvania to California on a motorcycle in 1909 at the age of 23 with $17 cash. He worked as a ranch hand for William Newport. He married Frances Evans in 1913. They had three sons: Cecil, Leslie and Merle. Walter constructed a house and workshop in 1932, a Pennsylvania Dutch style barn in 1938, and a granary in 1945. At one time Walter farmed 5,000 acres in Menifee.

Regarding Walter Zeiders. The house, workshop, and granary still exist here. The barn was lost to a fire in 2013.

Merle Zeiders, Walter's youngest son, celebrated his 90th birthday in 2018. Five generations of Zeiders’ continue to live in Menifee.

4. Barn
The lumber for the framing of the barn and the redwood siding came from the old Val Verde School in Perris/Moreno Valley area. The barn was lost to a fire in August 2013.
